"I heard chiropractic can fix my back."
"I heard chiropractic is good for asthma."
"My cousin gets his sciatica adjusted."
"I'll go to a chiropractor when my back or neck hurts."
This is something you hear people saying (and 50 other varieties of the same thing) when the word chiropractic comes up in conversation. So, I wanted to tell you EXACTLY what chiropractors do:
Chiropractors correct Vertebral Subluxations only; they do not treat diseases or conditions.
- Fix backs
- cure asthma
- adjust sciatica
- treat neck pain
These things are helped by chiropractic adjustments, but only because your body is able to fix these things when there is no interference. That interference is called vertebral subluxations. Chiropractors correct subluxations and the body can heal you from there.
So, next time you get checked at the chiropractor, ask him to check you for subluxations, not "hey doc, fix my back!"
Many of us do help treat disease conditions, and help restore a patient's health. I have also successfully treated sciatica, and "fixed many backs." I am sorry that your education and training left you ill-equipped to deal with these conditions, and hope that you get the training you need, to be able to effectively help your patients.

Only the body heals, Dr. Michael. I have hundreds of patients that have completely has problems such as asthma, diabetes, heart palpitations, and even sciatica clear up under chiropractic care.
DeleteI simply do not take credit for what the body did. I did not fix them, their body did in response to clearing the interference to allowing their body to do what it was made to do = HEAL.
I appreciate your comment, but the credit is not mine to take, it's the Doctor Within that does all the healing!!
